Roundup: Boys volleyball team splits four matches

Carroll boys volleyball improved to 11-3 on the 2023 season with splits of four matches last week.
The Chargers prevailed in a five-set slugfest with Homestead on Tuesday, April 18, besting the Spartans, 17-25, 25-18, 25-16, 23-25, 15-10.
Carroll swept Concordia Lutheran, 25-18, 28-26, 25-16 on Thursday, April 20.
The Chargers wrapped up the week with a pair of tournament losses on Saturday, April 22, falling to Guerin Catholic, 25-23, 25-22 and losing to Homestead, 25-18, 21-25, 12-15.
Carroll was scheduled to travel to South Side on Monday, April 24, then go to Columbia City on Thursday, April 27.

Chargers best Canterbury, Adams Central
Carroll was a 4-1 winner over Canterbury on Monday, April 17.
The Chargers beat Adams Central, 5-0 on Tuesday, April 18. Carroll got wins from Jana Beier at No. 1 singles, Riley Glassley at No. 2 singles, and Kenna Shoup at No. 3 singles. The Chargers also swept the doubles matches, getting wins from Katie Siegwarth and Brenna Bullock at No. 1 and Julianne Ounsombath and Megan McMillen at No. 2.
The Chargers were scheduled to travel to Warsaw on Monday, April 24, and Bishop Dwenger on Tuesday, April 25. They will be at Manchester on Thursday. April 27, and at the Delta Invitational on Saturday, April 29.
