By GARTH SNOW - | Oct 27, 2022

The Allen County Democratic Party will conduct an early vote rally from 10-11 a.m. Saturday on the Allen County Courthouse lawn.

The rally will feature several statewide and local candidates, and special guest the Rev. Dr. Janette Wilson, of Rainbow Push Coalition. Wilson is a senior advisor to the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. and national executive director of PUSH For Excellence.

The rally is part of the ACDP’s continued effort to increase voter turnout in Allen County and kick off final GOTV efforts to support Democratic candidates all over the county.

ACDP will encourage anyone who hasn’t yet voted to walk across the street to the Rousseau Centre and cast their Nov. 8 ballot early.

Candidates and guests who will be speaking at the event include:

• Indiana House Minority Leader Phil GiaQuinta

• Indiana House District 82 candidate Kyle Miller

• Adams Township Trustee Denita Washington

• Indiana State Senate District 14 candidate Zach Heimach

• Indiana 3rd U.S. House District candidate Gary Snyder

• Aboite Township trustee candidate Matthew Booker

• Allen County sheriff candidate Kevin Hunter

• Wayne Township trustee Austin Knox

• State treasurer candidate Jessica McClellan

• State auditor candidate ZeNai Brooks

• U.S. Senate candidate Tom McDermott

“We’re excited to have candidates from across the county and state be a part of our early vote rally to prove to Democratic voters in Allen County that we have numerous, exceptional candidates they should vote for,” said Allen County Democratic Party Chairman Derek Camp. “Every community in Allen County deserves quality representation fighting for women’s healthcare, higher wages, better public education, and expanded voting rights. We hope this rally shows voters there are candidates that deserve their support and attention who are fighting for a better Allen County from the ground up.”
