Arrested: Dakota Waudby, 19 year old male

Preliminary Charge: Murder

Waudby was arrested in connection to the shooting investigation at the 7900 block of Decatur Road that occurred on Nov. 28 at approximately 1:06 a.m.

The City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 7900 block of Decatur Road in reference to a shooting that was reported by several witnesses on Nov. 28.

Officers arrived and located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and Crime Scene Technicians are processing the scene in an effort to obtain additional details.

This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased identity along with the cause and manner of death.
