The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 3000 block of West Coliseum Boulevard on Dec. 27 at approximately 3:50 p.m. in reference to a reported subject down and not responsive.

Upon officers arrival, they located an adult male down inside the room and was not responsive. The Fort Wayne Fire Department arrived on scene and began to check the subject’s vitals and advised that the subject was in fact deceased.

Crime Scene and Detectives were called to the scene to investigate this death and determine if there was any foul play involved.

Upon their arrival and speaking with possible witnesses, as well as checking the room in with the victim was in, found no obvious signs of foul play surrounding the death of this individual.

The identity of the victim will be released at a later time by the Allen County Coroner’s Office along with the cause and manner of death.

This incident is being investigated by the FWPD, Allen County Coroner’s Office and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
