The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Oct. 6 at approximately 12:47 p.m. in front of the 1000 block of W. Coliseum Boulevard.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a motorcycle was traveling west on W. Coliseum Boulevard and a silver Toyota Corolla was attempting a left turn eastbound onto W. Coliseum Boulevard from the plaza located at 1010 W. Coliseum Blvd.

The vehicles collided in the middle of the roadway. The driver of the Toyota, an adult male, was uninjured. The motorcycle driver, and adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics. Life saving measures were attempted on the motorcycle driver but were unsuccessful. The motorcycle driver was wearing a helmet.

The Fatal Accident Crash Team made the scene and took over the investigation. This incident is also under investigation by the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
