YMCA to share in Day of Prayer

YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne has organized National Day of Prayer events for Y members and the community on Thursday, May 4.
The National Day of Prayer, observed annually on the first Thursday of May, invites people to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of Congress, and signed by President Harry S. Truman.
Area National Day of Prayer events include:
• Jackson R. Lehman Family YMCA, 5680 YMCA Park Drive West in northeast Fort Wayne, prayer gathering in the Y noon-12:45 p.m.
• Jorgensen Family YMCA, 10313 Aboite Center Road in southwest Fort Wayne, free breakfast and prayer gathering in the Y gym 6-7:30 a.m. Visit www.fwymca.org/ndp to RSVP.
• Whitley County Family YMCA, 950 E. Van Buren St., Columbia City, prayer gathering at noon in the Y community room and prayer stations throughout the facility all day.
• Renaissance Pointe YMCA, 2323 Bowser Ave. in southeast Fort Wayne, prayer gathering in the Y at noon and prayer table available all day.
• Parkview Family YMCA, 10001 Dawsons Creek Blvd. in northwest Fort Wayne, prayer stations along the trail 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Central Branch YMCA, 1020 Barr St. in downtown Fort Wayne, prayer stations in the Y chapel all day.
• YMCA Child Care Services, 1025 W. Rudisill Blvd. in south Fort Wayne, prayer stations in the Y office area 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Caylor-Nickel Foundation Family YMCA, 550 W. Dustman Road, Bluffton, prayer in the chapel at noon.
