Aug. 18 – Indiana author tour features Fort Wayne native Kekla Magoon

Award-winning children’s author Kekla Magoon, a Fort Wayne native, will hold a discussion in her hometown during the Indiana Authors Awards Tour.

Magoon has written numerous books for young readers, exploring wide-ranging topics. From biographies of important civil rights figures to novels exploring difficult themes such as gun violence and race relations to fantasy series and historical fiction featuring memorable characters, Magoon’s children’s books have been awarded or nominated for countless honors, including the National Book Award.

Engage with Magoon and local thought leaders in a discussion that delves into her journey as an Indiana author. The event will be held 6-8 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Allen County Public Library.
