The City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 2300 block of South LaFayette Street on Dec. 24 at approximately 9:01 p.m. in reference to an unknown problem.

The caller reported a female was deceased after an argument. Officers arrived on scene and located the adult female victim inside the residence suffering from life threatening injuries. Paramedics attempted to provide life saving measures; however. the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were summoned to assist in this death investigation.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased identity, along with the cause and manner of death. This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
