Huntertown to hold “The Lighting of the Christmas Tree” on Nov. 28
The Huntertown Family Park will host the final event of 2021 with “The Lighting of the Christmas Tree” on Nov. 28 from 5 to 6 p.m. Parking will be available in the Precision Laser parking lot off of Old Lima Road across from the park.
Santa will arrive on his sleigh pulled by his reindeers at 5:15 p.m. Children are invited to have pictures taken with Santa. There will be a Santa Mailbox for children to send letters directly to the North Pole.
A walk on the path leading to the tree for the tree lighting will begin at 6 p.m. The tree will remain lit for the community to see through the first of the new year.
Bring your own Christmas lights decorated for the holiday to light up the path such as candles in jars, lanterns or a flashlight. Members of the Huntertown Town Council have been invited and are honored to flip the switch to light the community Christmas tree this year.
There will be Christmas music, hot chocolate, and canes, and best of all, Santa on his sleigh. Come out and share your Christmas spirit and welcome in the Christmas season with the community.
