The Allen County Coroner’s Office was contacted and advised of the death of Marsha Jo Scheitlin, 64, of Leo, on Sept. 17.

Scheitlin was the driver of a motor vehicle which crossed the center line on SR 1 in Leo-Cedarville at approximately 12:04 p.m., striking an oncoming car head on. Scheitlin was transported to a local hospital where she died a short time after arrival.

The cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries due to motor vehicle crash and the manner of death is accident.

Scheitlin is the 36th fatal motor vehicle crash in Allen County for 2021.

This incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
