Carroll tennis coasts to wins over Adams Central, Norwell

Carroll’s girls tennis team picked up a 3-0 win over Adams Central on May 4, in a competition that was cut short by rain.
Two of the five matches were rained out.
The team got wins in No. 2 singles, No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles before the rain.
Cecelia Martin won No. 2 singles by a 6-0, 6-0 score, and Tori Skender won No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-0.
The No. 1 doubles duo of Emily Davis and Samantha Hess won 6-3, 6-2.
The score was 1-6, 6-1, 2-2 in Maggie Brennan’s No. 1 singles match when it was stopped by rain.
The No. 2 doubles team of Kenzie Lynch and Brooke Hoekema was trailing 7-6(4), 1-0, when their match was ended.
Carroll 4, Norwell 1
Carroll’s tennis team won every match but one in the May 3 contest against Norwell.
The girls had wins in all singles matches and No. 1 doubles.
Maggie Brennan won No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-1.
Cecelia Martin took the win in No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-2.
In No. 3 singles, Tori Skender coasted to a 6-1, 6-0 win.
The No. 1 doubles team of Emily Davis and Samantha Hess won 6-0, 6-2.
The lone loss came at No. 2 doubles, where Kenzie Lynch and Brooke Hoekema fell 6-4, 6-1.
