The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified two victims of a fatal car crash that happened around 9:38 p.m. Oct. 16 in the 4000 block of West Dupont Road, Fort Wayne.

The deceased individuals were identified as passengers Timothy David Williams, 48, and Jason Michael Avila, 45, both of Huntertown.

The vehicle reportedly left the roadway and struck a tree, and Avila was ejected from the vehicle. Both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene by Huntertown EMS. The cause of death for each individual was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries.

The incident marked the 27th and 28th vehicle fatalities for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2020. The incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
