Carroll radio and TV class wins state awards
INDIANAPOLIS — Carroll High School’s Radio and Television 2 class attended the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters State Conference and Awards Ceremony on March 9. Carroll competed against 50 other high school and career center programs, taking home several awards.
Daisy Macias earned an award for Best Music Video in the state.
Brandon Hedges was named in the top six of all television anchors in the state of Indiana.
Daisy Macias and JP Susantio earned second place in the corporate video category.
Jacob Inman earned third place in the radio drama category.
Jacob Inman and Brandon Hedges earned third place in the news package category.
JP Susantio earned an honorable mention in the short film category.
JP Susantio and Daisy Macias earned an honorable mention in the video in depth category.
Studio 415, Carroll’s news video program, earned an honorable mention in the TV newscast category.
The Indiana Association of School Broadcasters consists of and supports Indiana high schools and colleges to promote professional excellence and student recognition in the area of media education. IASB membership consists of secondary schools and post-secondary schools that offer academic, career technical education or extra-curricular programs related to electronic media. Currently, more than 16 college members and more than 48 high schools and career and tech centers make up the organization. The IASB State Conference is one of four events the organization hosts each year.
