Fort Wayne’s Sydnee Deventer is state pinball champ

HUNTERTOWN — Fort Wayne’s Sydnee Deventer swept the Indiana Women’s State Pinball Championship finals Jan. 21 at Wizard’s World Arcade four games to zero over No. 1 seed Jen Ruper of Cleveland.

Sydnee Deventer is the Indiana Women’s State Pinball Champion after Jan. 21’s finals at Wizard’s World Arcade.

Deventer is the 2023-24 Women’s Indiana State Pinball Champion and punched her ticket to the Women’s North American Championship, which will be held in conjunction with the Women’s World Championship March 22-24 at Wizard’s World, 14601 Lima Road in Huntertown, according to Wizard’s World owner Mike Burgess.

Jen Ruper was runner-up followed by Lindsey Sickler in 3rd place and Molly Oury at 4th place.

“We recognize the tremendous growth potential of women’s competitive pinball and want to do our part to support the current foundation and its growth,” Burgess said in the announcement ahead of the state championship.

Wizard’s World Arcade expanded and now has 144 pinball machines for family fun and private parties.
