Dupont Meadows, a new subdivision located on the south side of Dupont Road and just west of Lima Road at 2131 Sweet Breeze Way, recently held an open house. The newly built neighborhood is slated to feature 250 single-family, stand-alone, rental homes.
“We are so excited to be here in Fort Wayne. This has been two years in the making with a lot of hard work and collaboration…We are deeply grateful for the warm welcome that we have gotten here in Fort Wayne, and we look forward to being a great neighbor to you all,” Shane Malek, executive vice president of Next Chapter Neighborhoods, said.
“When we started, single-family-for-rent was a very new concept … Fort Wayne offers a stable economy and a high quality of life. We are investing $57 million at Dupont Meadows, which tells you how bullish we are on Fort Wayne. We are really glad to be here,” Malek said in an earlier statement.
Dupont Meadow is the third Next Chapter Neighborhoods community the Georgia-based company has built nationwide. It is the first one in Fort Wayne.
“Collaboration, I think is the key to what we want to do for Fort Wayne… I think you (Malek and Next Chapter Neighborhoods) are giving people the options that they are going to need,” Tom Didier, 3 rd District councilman, and candidate for Mayor, said.
Dupont Meadows is located in Didier’s 3rd District. There are eight different open floor plans.

Many feature multiple bedrooms and bathrooms.
“The Jasmine home is a 2-bedroom, 2-bath home. It is our most popular floor plan and has 1,288 square feet. Currently, The Jasmine rent is set at $1,899. We expect to build 94 Jasmine-style homes,” Alissa Compton, neighborhood liaison, Dupont Meadows, said.
Rents for other homes in the complex range from over $1,500 per month for a one-bedroom home to just over $2,300 per month for a four-bedroom home, Compton said.
So far, about two dozen homes are finished or nearly finished. About twelve families have already moved in. The homes include one to four bedrooms depending on the style of the house. Granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances are standard. Each home has a washer and dry hook up and its own garage and front porch.
Outdoor amenities in the Dupont Meadows community are abundant. They include a clubhouse, fitness facility, and remote working spaces. A swimming pool, walking trails and two dog parks are planned. A centrally located playground and a pickleball court are also included. Additionally, resident events are expected to be planned, a gathering space with a full indoor kitchen, and an outdoor kitchen with a grill near the pool are part of the amenities.
Dupont Meadows is managed by GoldOller Real Estate Investments who also manages Canterbury Green and Woodbridge, locally.
