Leo-Cedarville resident Angela McDaniel is the town’s new clerk-treasurer.

McDaniel stepped into that position May 22. She was selected May 19. Allen County Republican Party Chairman Steven Shine chaired the caucus to fill a vacancy.

McDaniels said previous clerk Brenda Hale resigned to move closer to family.

“I’m excited,” McDaniel said on a busy Tuesday, as she settled into her new job. McDaniel has over 20 years of accounting experience.

McDaniels said she has paperwork to begin the process of having her name added to the November ballot for a four-year term. No Democrats filed for that office in the May primary.
