LC Nature Park will host Trillium Fest from noon-4 p.m. May 6. Admission is free. The nature preserve is at 9744 Aboite Road in southwest Allen County.

Dani Tippman of the Myaamia (Miami) Nation will show how to make cattail mats and will demonstrate native gardening techniques.

Indiana Wild will be on hand with “some wild critters” as it promotes conservation, education and rescue. Other conservation organizations also will share information.

Visitors are invited to make a free, take-home print on Julie Wall’s antique printing press; make a birdhouse or bird feeder; make and launch seedballs into the prairie with a slingshot; or compete in the Animal Olympics.

Guests will observe spring in nature, walk the trails, and spy new bison calves.

J2 BBQ and Whip & Chill food trucks will offer their specialties.
